  • Closing the gap

For more than 15 years, Raíces Sagradas has worked to eliminate healthcare inequities in underserved communities. Raíces is the only organization of its kind serving Spanish-speaking immigrants in the Twin Cities; by offering therapy 1) entirely in Spanish (if preferred); 2) at no cost to clients and 3) in collaboration with churches (though no church affiliation is required to access services), we eliminate much of the financial, language, and cultural barriers for those who require our support.

  • Mental Health Pilot Project

Raíces Sagradas, with financial support from the KFNA and in collaboration with the City of Minneapolis and Incarnation Church, launched a pilot project in the Kingfield neighborhood to provide cost-free mental health referrals and mental health support to lower-income residents (primarily Spanish-speaking residents).

Raíces Sagradas is housed in a space adjacent to the Harvest from the Heart Free Grocery Store at West 38th Street and Pleasant Avenue South.

The drop-in mental health clinic will operate on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for nine months, September 2023-May 2024.
